A few highlights from last week...

* My mom, JoJo (her grandma name), had a birthday! Happy late birthday mom... I love you! We had fun celebrating the weekend before when I was still in town. I LOVE any holiday...so I always hate to miss birthdays and celebrations with families...so I made sure we had a birthday party while I was still there.

* We also had a little excitement last week and spent a long 2 days and 1 night without electricity. Somebody accidentally switched electricity companies on us...without letting us know...not really sure how this happened. Matt came home and found an electricity-less apartment. It was such a quiet night...a little weird, but nice (for one night). I went to bed so early because I couldn't read, watch TV, check blogs or listen to music. Matt had to go up to school to study because he had tests that week. I had to call my mom to make sure I was awake for school the next day...no alarm clock. I did set my phone alarm clock, but it usually takes 2-3 alarm clocks to wake me up in the morning. It's all worked out now...we're back to an electronic-filled world.

* We spent part of the weekend helping with the "Sweetheart Banquet" at church. The youth group has a dinner each year for "Keenagers" of our church. We had fun helping the girls decorate on Friday night and then get everything ready for the dinner on Saturday. The youth group kids did such a great job planning, cooking and serving the people...lots of fun hanging out with them. Matt and I really enjoy hanging out with the youth group. We're one of the youngest couples at our church, so I guess we consider them some of our closest friends...we relate well to this age group! I still feel like I'm 16 most of the time...

* And here's one more picture of sweet Riley...I missed seeing her this week! She might look a little scared in the picture...but she really does love me. I'm sure my sister was doing something behind the camera to scare her. She's the scary aunt...not me!

Jenna,

You are so precious! I'm so glad things are going well in Houston. Aren't you glad you and Riley live in the same state? It would be tragic for an adoring aunt to be far away! Know that you and Matt continue to be in my prayers. Blessings to you.

Cute pictures, Jenna! Your niece is adorable! I hope she feels better soon! Your mom told me she was going to see you Spring Break. Have a wonderful time together...only 1 1/2 weeks away! Yay!

Your church sounds great. I love that you and Matt are so involved, even though he's so busy.

Riley is adorable.
