Happy Mother's Day, JoJo!

This might be my first Mother's Day without my mom. I guess that's what happens when you grow up and get married...and live 6 hours away. So I'm missing my mom today and wishing we were together...to grade papers, go to Target or go for a late-night walk. A family friend emailed these pictures a few months ago...and I loved them. My mom is beautiful...for so many reasons. She's my best friend...and the woman I most admire.

And I'm sure she really appreciates me posting these pictures.

I love you, mom! Happy Mother's Day...

My mom and her sisters... My mom's in the middle...isn't that a wonderful Kojie face?

My mom (on top) with her older sister (Aunt Lynn)... And she'll have to explain this picture...no idea what's going on here.

Dearest daughter...what lovely things you said. I thank you very much... you made my day even more special! However, the pictures are hysterical. (My sisters will also love them.) Dad and I can't wait to see you two. Much love, Mom

I loved the pictures, Jenna. They were darling girls and I was proud of them then and doubly proud of them now. Your mom was not with her mom either for Mother's Day. But that is o.k - she was with your favorite niece and one of my cutest greats! Love you.

Thank you for sharing your mom and your daughter with me for mom's day. It meant so much to us that she came for Riley's dedication. We miss you Jenna!

I have enjoyed those pictures as well! It is amazing to me that time has gone by so fast. Sometimes I think we take for granted that other generations had "family lives" before we were grown. You know what I mean? I try to remember in our nursing home ministry on Sundays that all these older people used to be someone's little ones, someone's sweethearts, and someone's mom or dad. It really puts things in perspective. We were pretty cute weren't we? God blessed me with amazing sisters that are also my best friends in the world. I would like to know though what is up with turtleneck pajamas???? NO wonder I am claustrophic.
