A quick update from the happy travelers...

I know I've been a horrible blogger lately. Things have been a little crazy in a our household this past month... Here's what's been happening in our lives these last few weeks...

* We moved out of our apartment on Dec. 1st... It was sad! We've lived there 3 1/2 years...our first household as a married couple...the apartment we brought Reese home to...and some of our best friends, the Thompsons, lived right across the grass from us. So I shed a few tears over this. The week before we moved was crazy... I hate packing! A very big THANK YOU to cousin Heather who came 3 days to help pack and play with Reese. I couldn't have done it without the help of family and friends. We put our stuff in storage because we'll be traveling the next few months... Matt's doing rotations in Central and South America... I'm sure I'll blog more about this later... but we're still not 100% sure about all of the details.

* Right now I'm typing from a hotel in New Haven, Connecticut. We're spending 2 weeks interviewing for Matt's residency. Matt's interviewed in Houston, Dallas, & Temple already... On Friday he interviewed in Nashville...tomorrow's interview is at Yale...Wednesday he interviews at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. Then next week we fly to North Carolina so he can interview at Duke and UNC. We're trying to decide where we want to live for the next 3-6 years... Any advice????

* Reese has been sick this week...poor baby has bronchiolitis...so traveling with a sick baby has been quite an adventure. I think she's starting to feel better... and hopefully we'll be able to enjoy our time in the Northeast.

I'm sure I have more to type about...and I have pictures to post...but I should probably go check on my sleeping baby. Keep us in your prayers these next few weeks as we travel around the country!

Hey Jenna,

I've been thinking and praying for you. I talked to Diane at church this morning; she told me Reese was sick (and strong-willed about not wanting to take her medicine--just like her dad). I know it must be crazy having your stuff in storage, traveling with a sick baby, and making plans for your future, but you are handling it all amazingly well. I'm so proud of you for being willing to experience this adventure! I'm praying that Reese gets well and you three enjoy the rest of your travels. I hope I see you at Christmas!! I love you!

I think Houston is a great place for a residency. Tell Matt that! Oh, and tell him I have loved his guitar. I might just hold it for ransom. HA!

I loved being with you last week. I hope all your dishes are still all in one piece! HA! Well, with as much bubble wrap as we used they should!

I hope Reese is feeling better. Give her a big kiss from us! We love you guys! Be safe and keep in touch.

We have been praying for the 3 of you guys. Reese is such a trooper and so is her mommy! I know where I am hoping you guys land, but we will see what doors open.

I can't wait to see you. We will be here in A town, barefoot and pregnant.

Love you guys.

I will be praying for your sweet family during this time of transition. I know God will put you in the place that you are supposed to be.
That is neat that you get to do a lot of traveling while you interview and do rotations. Goodluck with everything!
