We made our first trip to the ER last weekend... Mom said it was bound to happen sooner or later with this sweet girl. She is busy and fearless (and still a little clumsy...like most toddlers, I'm sure). Last Saturday, after a wonderful Thanksgiving with Matt's family, Reese and I went for a walk. When we got back to the house, I unbuckled her from the jogging stroller, and at the same time our neighbor dog, Molly, came by to say hi. Of course Reese was so excited to see Molly...but as soon as Molly left, Reese leaned over and tipped out of her jogging stroller...head first onto the concrete. Poor baby!!! She had a HUGE egg-shaped bump forming on her head...and of course Matt was at work. So I called him, trying not to be hysterical and he said to bring her in to the ER...so he met us in the ER...and we were thankfully in and out in an hour (I think that might have been a perk of having Matt still in his white coat). She's fine now...just a big bump and some scrapes on her nose.
So actually, the fall was not a result of her being a dare-devil...more like mom's carelessness. But she is a little adventurer, and I'm sure there will be many more bumps and bruises. In fact, tonight she split the tissue that connects your lip to your upper gums... there was so much blood!! But thankfully no trip to the ER. Her dentist had complained that her upper lip was too tight against her teeth...well not anymore. She took care of that with a fall tonight.

ok, let's just make sure she and levi don't get together. between the two of them there would be some major bumps, bruises, cuts, falls, etc!
i love the picture of her big knot. poor thing!
Nana said I had a bump like that, but I sure don't remember being as brave as Reese. Ouch! I can't wait to see the C'mas card picture with her little goose egg shining! We can hardly wait for everyone to be together at the holidays. Love y'all...jojo
Her little eyes in the picture with the bump look so sad! Poor Reese! Love yall!

I loved catching up with you tonight. And, I love that first picture of Reese on her scooter. It makes me laugh! She's a little dare devil.
OK GIRL....it is certainly not a mommy negligent problem. You remember I was Ashley's mom. Daredevil of the world who ran around in WonderWoman underoos for the first 7 years of her life. You can't slow down a daredevil. Even if you are standing right there! So don't blame yourself. That sure is a goose egg. I'm glad she has a hard head like her auntie Neena. We can't wait until we see you guys. LOVE YOU BUNCHES.....
I'm glad she's OK. Looks like it's not slowing her down much, so it must not have made too big of an impression! Have a good Christmas with your family!
Awwww....poor Reese and poor mommy! Nothing like the first trip to the ER! There will be many more bumps and bruises, but nothing can change the fact that this girl is just plain cute!!!! Hugs! (Jack and Sam cannot wait to see cousin Reese at Cmas!)
