It's already July... Where did my summer go???

I guess that's what happens when you spend a month traveling. Matt I were gone most of June traveling through Europe. I've started to blog about it several times, but I get a little overwhelmed...Where do I even begin? We went to so many great places...saw amazing sights, beautiful castles, famous works of art...and lots more. I'm about to try to post pictures. I hope it works...pictures are more exciting than words anyway, right?

This is our first day in Paris...after I'd been sick with the stomach bug. I let Matt climb to the top without me...
After Paris, we went to the south of France and then to the Italian Riviera... This was in Italy...probably my favorite part of the trip. This is the small fishing village of Vernazza.

Not my favorite town to visit...but I saw the tower and we got the picture... That's about all there is to see in Pisa. Or maybe I didn't enjoy this town as much because we couldn't find a place to stay. We walked around for about 3 hours looking for a hotel with the backpack on...but the day we were in Pisa just happened to be an Italian holiday and everyone just happened to be visiting Pisa...we're still not sure why. We finally took the train to Florence and found a hotel there at about 1:00 AM. I didn't care how much it cost...I was so happy to have a place to sleep!

After Pisa and Florence we went to Rome and enjoyed several days there...

I loved the Trevi fountain... We both made wishes and threw a coin in the fountain. Has anyone else seen the movie "Three Coins in a Fountain"? It's a classic...

That's only about half of the trip...so I'm thinking I'll start with these pictures and add a few more each day... It's a little overwhelming all at once, I know!

I bet you are going to spend the rest of summer resting! The trip sounds fantastic and I am so glad you got your pictures and "news" posted. I, along, with others have been patiently waiting. You were about 1 day away from getting a phone call to tell you to BLOG ALREADY......Love you both and glad you are home. Lynn

Jenna, I am so glad that I clicked on your blog link today! Your trip looks like so much fun! Did you do the hike in Cinque Terre? It is so long but also so beautiful. Carolyn, Erika and I went to nearly all of the places you have shown on this blog, and I think we would all agree that the leaning tower is all there is to do in Pisa! You were probably better off spending the night in Florence anyway. I will definitely check back to see more of your fabulous pictures!

I'm glad to see some pictures of your trip and can't wait to hear more about it! We just got back from Rome on Sunday and loved it! Our hotel was right by the Trevi Fountain, which we happened to see for the first time all lit up at night. It was awesome!

Sad we didn't get to see you guys over here, but we'll see you in a few weeks in the States! Looking forward to more pictures!!

Jenna,

I just sent you an email. I'm pretty sure the first one I sent did not get to you, so I may have the wrong email address. Let me know if you get this one. Hope you're having a great day!!
