So this is fall...

A cold front hit Houston today. Today on the playground it was a muggy 92 degrees... This is not my idea of a cold front or fall weather! Yesterday it almost hit 100 degrees...so I guess I should be happy with 92. But I'm not. Fall is my favorite season. I've been looking forward to cooler weather since July. I'm not sure why I live in Houston. I'm still waiting for fall...

A few reasons I love fall...

1. I don't sweat when I walk to my car at 6:30 in the morning.
2. Football games
3. Fall smells so good...cooler air...fires in the fireplace.
4. You can put away summer clothes and pull out your turtlenecks and boots...but really in Houston that doesn't happen until January. And then it only lasts for a week.
5. I like to see the colorful leaves falling...but again, that doesn't really apply to Houston.
6. Pumpkins are fun.
7. Cute kids in Halloween costumes

And there are so many more...

Jenna Lynn....I love fall too! I love pumpkins and the smell of leaves burning. I love fires in the fireplace and can't wait. You are right about the temps though. I always envied you all in Abilene with real seasons and snow. In this part of Texas there is only one season. And that is HOT. Glad you are safe at home again and back to school. Love you both bunches....AUNT LYNN

I know Houston is hot most of the time, but after a month of those freezing cold brutial West Texas winds cutting through you aren't you glad you can slip on a pair of flip-flops and soak up the November rays! :)

That's another reason why you need to move to Dallas!!!

Lynn...I guess I take after my namesake! I do miss Abilene this time of year... I'm ready for a trip when you are.

And Leah, I don't think I'd rather be soaking up rays in November...but thanks for the encouragement. :) Hope to see you soon...

Hollie, #7 on my list was for you! I thought of Riley tonight. I went to Target and spent way too long in the baby Halloween section. Riley will be too cute in her Halloween costume. Any ideas yet?

I agree. Once school is back in session I am ready for the weather to cool off. A serious front hit here last night and I am enjoying it today.
